Warm welcome for pubs this summer

WARM weather and a slight easing in the cost of living crisis saw spending in pubs rocket by 25% over June.

The thirstiest punters in the country were in Donegal, where the average daily spend went up by 34%, followed by Mayo and Laois, both 33%.

And the busiest day of the whole month all over the country was June 24, Pride Day.

It all means summer 2023 got off to a scorching start for boozers, according to the AIB Spend Trend report.
