MANCHESTER CITY are ready to rule the world after finally conquering Europe, vows chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
Pep Guardiola’s side joined local rivals Manchester United as the only English side to clinch the Treble of Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in the same season.
Despite that haul, Al Mubarak says City have their sights set on global domination – and are determined to prove they are the best team on the planet.
City take on Europa League winners Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup final in August, before heading to Saudi Arabia in December for FIFA’s Club World Cup.
Although City proved themselves the best side in Europe with their maiden Champions League triumph, Al Mubarak said there is a desire within the Etihad to take it to an even higher level.
