TOM MORRISSEY insists Allianz League finalists Limerick aren’t “wrapping ourselves in cotton wool or minding ourselves” with the Munster Championship in mind.
Sunday’s clash with Kilkenny could be just what the three-in-a-row AllIreland winners need – a winner takes all tie against old rivals to tee them up for the Championship.
Or it could be one big game too many after an already hectic spring with Munster rivals Waterford waiting to face Limerick 14 days later.
Attacker Morrissey said: “To be honest, we haven’t really even mentioned the Championship. When you’re in a national final, that’s going to be your sole focus. We’ve approached it the same as if we’re in any other final.
“We want to win on Sunday and we’re approaching it in that manner. We’ve trained hard since the semi-final win over Tipp, lads want to be playing on Sunday. They want to be starting in a league final and they definitely want to win it.
