WIPED OUT..2 YOUNG LIVES

TWO communities have been plunged into grief as a young boy and a teenage girl were tragically killed in separate road collisions.

Second class pupil Andre Ladeiro, 8, of Carrigaline in Cork died in hospital on Wednesday - four days after he was struck by a car while cycling.

Andre was with a parent and younger sibling when the accident occurred at the Ballinrea roundabout shortly after 9am last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Savannah Barry Calvert, 14, of Fairview Crescent in Garryowen in Limerick tragically died on Wednesday night when a car collided with her while she was out walking in the Bank Place area of the city.

Tributes continue to flow for the tragic children with Andre being remembered as a youngster whose "smile and personality lit up every room he entered".

Savannah, who had cystic fibrosis, was remembered as an "affectionate, beautiful young lady who gave life all she got".
