Five people arrested as €300,000 drug haul seized in series of raids

CANNABIS JELLIES PLANT SQUASHED

FIVE people have been arrested after gardai seized a €300,000 haul of drugs. 

The raids at an apartment complex in Finglas, North Dublin, uncovered a “sophisticated” cannabis jelly manufacturing operation, as well as a cannabis grow house in the hot press.

Connected to Operation Tara, the searches also recovered suspected cocaine worth an estimated €20,000, tablets and cash.

A woman aged in her 30s and a man aged in his 20s were arrested at the scene.

In a follow up-search at another property in the same complex, a suspected cannabis grow house in a downstairs bedroom and in an upstairs hot press was discovered.

Gardai also discovered a operation suspected of manufacturing cannabis jellies which included cooking equipment, jelly casts, food dyes and cannabis oils.
