CHALDEAN fought to victory in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket – to prove the apple never falls far from the tree. 

The Andrew Balding-saddled colt, carrying the late Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte silks, fended off 12-1 chance Royal Scotsman by a head to follow in the prints of his sire Frankel, who captured the Group 1 two-year-old prize in 2010.
