CHELSEA are ready to step in if Manchester United follow through with their plan to sack Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Blues are back in the hunt for Ronaldo (right) after an inconsistent start to the season under owner Todd Boehly.

That would leave United powerless to prevent him moving to Stamford Bridge.
