SCOTT YOUNG once earned a framed shirt worn by Robbie Fowler as a reward for knocking Leeds United out of the FA Cup and would love Cardiff City's current crop to claim their own souvenirs today.
But the former Bluebirds defender - who went on to become the club's caretaker manager - reckons it will take a lot more than powerful nostalgia to repeat the FA Cup shock of 2002.
Young famously scored the winner 21 years ago in a 2-1 victory at a raucous Ninian Park, where there were pitch invasions after former Cardiff chairman Sam Hammam had taunted Leeds fans with a giant Welsh flag.
These are far quieter days at Cardiff where expectations are low and where under-pressure Mark Hudson is their fifth manager in little more than three years.
"The club needs a clearer philosophy and identity rather than the continual chopping and changing of manager. It lurches from one type of manager to another," said Young.
