I THOUGHT I was the only one struggling to get the working from home balance right until I opened up to my pal who confided that it was getting her down too.

Both she and I have totally different set-ups.

My house is like a zoo filled with kids and madness, whereas she lives alone.

While I find my mental health going down the swanny from too much chaos and not enough time to concentrate, my friend finds the isolation crippling.

It’s really tough on both single and family people to set boundaries around when the working day begins and ends.

With smartphones, we’re checking emails morning, noon and night in case we miss something.

The self-doubt when you’ve nobody to turn around to and bounce ideas back and forth with is the worst part.
