DON'T dump the sunblock or put away the barbecue just yet - as it looks like temperatures are set to soar in the coming days.

The country is in for a bout of late summer sunshine with little or no rain and temperatures reaching the high 20s in the coming days.

Met Eireann has revealed an area of high pressure is building over Ireland which will bring "mostly dry and settled weather for all of next week.

After what has been several months of unsettled weather which saw plenty of wind and rain, predictions are the second week in August will feel like summer.
