THIS MEATH SIDE STILL EMPROVING

The Royals are back in the final and are favourites to complete a dream double of wins that would have seemed fanciful just 12 months ago.

Their form has been patchy though with late scores from Emma Duggan bailing them out against both Galway and Donegal in the All-Ireland series.

Before that, it took an Orlagh Lally point to salvage a draw against Armagh in the group stage while Dublin beat Meath in the Leinster final.

They’re fortunate to be still standing but boss Eamonn Murray did hail their second-half performance against Donegal as the best they’ve played all season.
