TRAINER'S SON, 13 KILLED IN FREAK FALL

TOP trainer Henry de Bromhead's young son died in a freak accident at a pony event yesterday.

Jockey Jack de Bromhead, 13, suffered critical injuries at the Glenbeigh Racing Festival on Rossbeigh Beach, Co Kerry.

It is understood he fell from his horse as the animals were making a turn at the water's edge. The young rider was attended to by emergency services but was later pronounced dead after what has been described as a “freak accident”.
