A DJ, pianist, singer, producer and now actor, Salo has managed to build a name for herself in the city that has seen her work with the region's best.
For her latest venture, she is playing the moon in an 'electric adaptation' of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Royal Exchange Theatre.
The play will be using the Bard's iconic tale to explore and celebrate Manchester's links with dance, music, and rave culture.
A culture that Salo is very acquainted with. "Around 17 I started raving," she told the M.E.N.
"But before that, I started to discover artists such as Etta James, Nina Simone, and Billie Holiday. I was listening to them all the time and I was like 'This is sick.
"Stef (play director Stef O'Driscoll) messaged me on Instagram because she's a raver herself. She's been to one of my sets in Bristol and she saw me DJ and she began researching me.
