A PUBLIC consultation is being launched into plans for a science and manufacturing campus next to Manchester Airport that could be home to thousands of workers.
The eight-week event will be used to gauge views on the masterplan for MIX MANCHESTER, which backers say is ‘the UK’s first airport-based science, innovation, and manufacturing campus’. It follows the approval in principle of the draft Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for the site by Manchester council’s executive committee.
The consultation aims to allow local residents, business leaders and other stakeholders to share their thoughts on the plans. The masterplan will then be updated and submitted to the council for final signoff.
