Drug bosses paid women £300 each to smuggle £75k of cannabis

TWO young women who were paid £300 each by crimelords to smuggle £75,000 worth of cannabis on a train have walked free from court.

Breuklyne Jeffers and Tamica Reid-Foster were just 18 when 5kg of the drug was found stuffed inside two seemingly abandoned suitcases on board a near-empty train to Edinburgh.

The pair claimed to be going to a funeral, but were instead working as drug mules for a crime gang during the Covid-19 pandemic.

On January 13, 2021, they boarded a 6am Avanti West Coast train at Wolverhampton with a mission to hand over the drugs to traffickers operating in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.
