KILLER BROTHER'S REMORSE AS HE'S JAILED FOR KNIFING SISTER'S EX

He never deserved to die... I’m truly sorry

A BROTHER who stabbed and killed his sister’s ‘nuisance’ ex-partner in a ‘misguided bid to defend her’ has told his victim’s devastated loved ones that ‘he didn’t deserve to die’.

It comes as the auntie of Dylan Towers said his death had left a ‘huge hole in our family’ as Liam Fosbrook was jailed for his manslaughter.

Fosbrook, now 29, confronted and knifed 35-year-old Mr Towers ‘at least three times’ after he arrived uninvited at the home of his sister Tara in Brinnington, Stockport, in December 2021.

Tara and Mr Towers had been in a relationship but it had broken down, the court was told, but he continued to ‘harass and pester her.’ Two court orders had been made banning him from contacting her which Mr Towers had repeatedly flouted.

The situation was ‘causing difficulties’ for Fosbrook’s sister, including her children being removed from her care by social services on December 15, 2021, the court was told.

Due to concerns she was ‘suicidal’ and ‘may try to harm herself,’ Fosbrook was asked to stay at his sister’s new address on Foliage Crescent and was taken there by police.

Mr Towers appeared at the property and tapped on a window that night but ran off when he saw Fosbrook. Police attended with an officer noting several kitchen knives had been placed around the living room.
