"THE sooner you are dead, the better," drunk thug Matthew Kenner told his partner before throwing acid at her.
The 46-year-old tiler fuelled by 'half a bottle of rum' - told the woman she was an 'embarrassment' and 'worthless' in a series of vile messages. She said the actions of her partner of eight years 'changed the trajectory of [her] life forever!
Kenner and the woman were at a hot tub party at a friend's house in the summer of 2021 before she called for a taxi to their Bolton home.
She left without Kenner and ordered him a separate cab as he was taking a long time, Bolton Crown Court heard.
Kenner sent a 'barrage' of abusive messages to the woman. When he got back, he threw an acid-based brick cleaner over her.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service specialist took a sample from the woman's dressing gown and found it had a strong pH level of one. Fortunately, she was able to get into the bathroom and immediately wash the substance off.
The woman was left with scabs and luckily escaped serious injury.
