FOOTBALLER Benjamin Mendy 'forcefully' raped one woman and tried to rape another at his Cheshire mansion, prosecutors allege.
The City player, 28, denies counts of rape and attempted rape, allegations concerning two women.
The Frenchman allegedly told the woman who accused him of rape that he'd 'had sex with 10,000 women, and allegedly told his other accuser 'I'm gonna kidnap you! "He wanted to party and have casual sex if the opportunity presented itself," prosecutor Benjamin Aina KC told Chester Crown Court.
Prosecutors allege that the Premier League footballer 'took advantage' of two women who had been invited back to his home in Prestbury. Mr Mendy is expected to say that any sexual contact between him and the two women was consensual.
The case is a retrial, after a jury previously acquitted Mr Mendy of other sexual allegations. The previous jury could not agree verdicts on the two outstanding counts which he faces.
Woman One, then in her late 20s, has alleged that Mr Mendy raped her in October 2018.
