PEOPLE living on a housing estate where a teenage boy was targeted in an 'acid attack' have spoken of their shock.
The 16-year-old was attacked with a 'corrosive substance, suspected to be acid, in Vaudrey Road, Woodley, Stockport, at about 10pm on Sunday.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is described as 'stable and not life-threatening! Detectives believe the attack was 'targeted' and say there is no threat to the wider public.
Following the incident, police cars, fire engines and ambulances descended on nearby Braddon Road.
Neighbours living on the street said they heard a 'commotion' and looked outside to find it taped off.
A police cordon was in place outside a semi-detached property on the street, they added.
