DISCIPLINARY action taken by GMP after one of its officers was caught on camera appearing to drag a rough sleeper along the ground in his sleeping bag will be reviewed, the mayor has said.
The footage was filmed outside Manchester Town Hall last September and also appears to show the female officer treading on the man's stomach, the BBC reported.
The corporation said he was a refugee from Sudan and had been sleeping rough outside the town hall with others.
In an interview with BBC News, the 31-yearold said he was left injured by her actions.
He said: "I was telling her I need to sleep.
