One couple stranded in the airport - who should be in Greece now ahead of a wedding - were among thousands of travellers who have been hit with delays and cancellations after a fault with the UK's air traffic control system.
One passenger, Anna from Mauritius, is pregnant and says the 'stress is complicated for her! Her partner Alex said: "EasyJet cancelled an hour before our flight (on Monday), but through the check-ins and the app it said it was going ahead until we were in the departures lounge when told.
"We had to stay in a hotel and book a flight with Jet2 today, which was also cancelled. I then booked a flight with TUI to go to Zante after being told at the service desk we could get a ferry to Athens - it turns out there is no ferry. That flight cost me £300."
Anna told the M.E.N: "We are attempting to get another flight, the stress is complicated for me now. There's been no communication whatsoever and the customer service is terrible. I can't imagine how people feel who don't have the means to book another flight"
