A TERRIFIED mum had to jump out of her bedroom window clutching her three-month-old baby boy in her arms after armed men burst into her home in the early hours of the morning.
She had been sleeping upstairs with the newborn and her husband when the family were suddenly woken at around 3.30am to the sound of the kitchen window being smashed.
Within a matter of seconds, the three thugs had gained entry. It's claimed the dad was forced to hold the bedroom door shut as one of the burglars tried to break it down, kicking it and slicing a huge machete through the wood.
The new mum, who was recovering from a C-section after recently giving birth, says she was left with no option but to leap out of the upstairs window of their Dukinfield home, with her newborn in her arms, before landing on shards of glass outside.
Her husband also jumped, before they ran into a neighbours, bleeding and injured, and called the emergency services to the scene on Barlow Road, on August 23. The pair were both left injured and needing surgery, with their baby thankfully only suffering minor cuts and bruises.
Speaking to the M.E.N, the mum described the horror ordeal as a 'blur, but that all she could think about was saving her little boy.
