The United academy graduate has been rejuvenated under the guidance of Erik ten Hag, taking his game to a new level throughout a remarkable campaign that has seen him score 30 goals and notch 11 assists.
It wasn't much of a surprise, then, to see Rashford win big at United's annual awards night on Monday, as the 25-year-old was named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, chosen by the fans, and also the Players'
Player of the Year. The second award was especially meaningful because he was chosen by his team-mates, testament to the hard work that goes on both behind the scenes and on gameday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rashford then revealed who he had voted for to win the award himself and why he couldn't separate two teammates.
"I think I nominated two people," he told MUTV. "I don't know if I'm allowed to do that [laughs]. I voted for Case [Casemiro] and Bruno [Fernandes]. I feel like Case has done an amazing job since coming in, and he has made us a lot more solid.
"He's one of the reasons why David [De Gea] managed to win the Golden Glove, and we were just a lot more solid in the midfield. That freed the likes of people like Bruno and [Christian] Eriksen, who I thought had a tremendous season as well, to play their football."
Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek was seen going through ball exercises in United training on Monday as he continues his recovery from a seasonknee-ending injury.
