A COUPLE say they have been left traumatised after riot police smashed their way into their home before telling them they'd 'got the wrong address."
Project manager Vincent Nolan, 60, was working from his home on a quiet side street in picturesque Littleborough on Thursday afternoon when he heard a 'massive commotion' and a 'loud bang."
Vincent went downstairs to find someone sawing through his door, with six police officers 'in riot gear' standing on the other side.
"I started screaming and said 'what's going on? I have got a key, I can let you in," he told the Manchester Evening News. "They were shouting 'get back' and then rammed the door open."
Vincent said he was ordered to sit on the sofa in his living room as 'officers with riot shields came running in.'
He added: "I was still screaming asking 'what's going on?! The dog was sat next to me shaking, bless him.
"They said 'we'll explain what's happening in a minute! Officers ran upstairs, they scraped all the paintwork with their shields and they were searching all over the house.
