CASTLEFORD TIGERS 36
SALFORD RED DEVILS 24
Down 24-18 in the second half, four tries from winger Innes Senior ended the Tigers' drought in impressive style.
Salford looked to have the game sewn up after Nene Macdonald and Ryan Brierley crossed in quick fashion after the interval.
But Castleford refused to give in and Senior touched down for his hat-trick and Brad Martin barged over three minutes later to give Castleford the lead.
A late goal from Danny Richardson and Senior's fourth of the night with three minutes left secured a magical maiden victory for 2024.
