Peel L&P have proposed to build 350 homes on land off Leigh Road, Boothstown, Salford, on a site they are calling 'Alder Carr'.
But residents fear the estate, which would be opposite recently-opened tourist attraction RHS Bridgewater, will trigger overpopulated roads, schools and GP surgeries- with Salford councillor, Bob Clarke, claiming the area is already 'full up'. He said the estate was 'not wanted' by those living nearby, who he claimed were 'furious' at the plans.
"People are furious to be honest," he said.
