Human Rights Group Blames Xi For Uyghur Child Abuses

On Sunday, the Svenska Uyghur Kommitten (SUK), also known as the Swedish Uyghur Committee, issued a powerful statement condemning the Chinese government and its leader, President Xi Jinping, for alleged humanitarian abuses against Uyghur children in East Turkistan.

The SUK's statement highlights the ongoing plight of Uyghur children who have reportedly been subjected to severe human rights violations as part of a broader strategy by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to suppress and eradicate Uyghur culture and identity.

The SUK criticized Xi Jinping for his apparent disparity in compassion, alleging that while he may demonstrate concern for children within mainland China, this same empathy is not extended to the more than a million Uyghur children who have been forcibly separated from their families.

The statement emphasizes that these children are victims of a brutal regime, subjected to a relentless program of indoctrination, torture, organ harvesting, starvation, execution, and forced labor. According to the SUK, these practices represent not just violations of human rights but part of a systematic attempt to erase Uyghur identity and culture.

"These innocent Uyghur children's lives, instead of growing up in the safety and love of their homes, are subjected to a relentless program of indoctrination, organ harvesting, torture, starvation, execution, and forced labor. Their childhoods are stolen, and their identities are systematically erased. A tragic and heart-wrenching reality that is just one part of the broader genocide unfolding under China's enduring occupation and colonization of East Turkistan," the SUK's statement reads.
