Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia declared that 4,500 Vande Bharat trains would be operating throughout India by 2047. There will be 23 Vande Bharat trains operating in the nation in 2023. By 2047, we want to operate 4,500 Vande Bharat trains,” stated Scindia. The union minister went on to say that India will get its first highspeed bullet train between 2026 and 2027. He added that by the end of 2024, Navi Mumbai’s second airport will be functioning. At the same time, the Noida International Airport will be opened in Jewar by the end of next year. Another airport in Ayodhya will be ready by the end of December and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from the boost in Vande Bharat Express and Bullet trains, Scindia added that the Indian government would also be working towards ensuring the carbon emission from trains is reduced to net zero in the coming years.
