Does Ndlozi fit in MK?

The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party may not be the most suitable place for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to go to if he leaves the EFF. This is the view of Prof Ntsikelelo Breakfast, a political analyst from Nelson Mandela University.

Ndlozi's future within the EFF was questioned after he was absent at the party's elective conference last weekend and failed to secure a spot in the party's leadership structure.

There is speculation that Ndlozi will follow a string of EFF senior leaders who have joined MK.

Speaking to The Citizen yesterday, Breakfast said MK was built on shaky ground and its sustainability in South African politics was questionable.

He said it was clear that the party had some leadership problems, despite celebrating one year on the political scene.

"Deputy president of the party John Hlophe spoke about competition among MK members over power and positions.
