Sketch and Cut: Draw your characters on cardboard. Think animals, people, or even fantastical creatures!
Attach and Pose: Cut out the characters and attach a small, rolled-up piece of paper to the back. Slip your index finger through the roll to make the character's head.
Body Language: Use your hand to form the character's body. For instance, your middle finger and thumb can be a bear's paws.
The Screen: Hang a white sheet or piece of paper on a wall or door.
The Light: Place a lamp behind the screen, shining directly onto it.
The Performance Space: Position yourself between the lamp and the screen.
