The ED sleuths have begun to raid the premises of former constable of the Transport Department Saurabh Sharma after the raids by the Special Police Establishment (SPE) of Lokayukta.
The ED raids will reveal how the Transport Department officials extorted money from check posts.
According to sources, ED is set to enter the Transport Department through the action it is taking against Sharma.
On getting complaints about the extortions at check posts, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav repealed the check posts and launched check-point system.
Nevertheless, there are complaints that the officials of the Transport Department have started extorting money from the check points, too.
Money collected from the check posts with the help of the officials of the Transport Department was distributed among many people.
