Although these cops have been suspended from duty, no FIR has been filed against them despite clear evidence.
On August 30, the four policemen in mufti – assistant inspector Vishwanath Ambule, constables Imran Shaikh, Sagar Kamble and Dabang Shinde were seen on video entering the livestock farm of one Shahbaz Khan, 32, near Kalina masjid, and one of them could be seen planting the drug on Daniel Estbeiro, 30, a farm worker, under the pretext of searching him.
The entire incident was recorded on CCTV, which Khan reviewed and later made viral. Following the public outrage, Estbeiro was released and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raj Tilak Roushan suspended the four cops.
