Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Monday sent to judicial custody till April 15 by a Delhi court in the excise policy case. Kejriwal was arrested in the case by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 and had been remanded twice in its custody by this court.
During the hearing, the ED did not press for extension of Kejriwal’s custody. Appearing for ED, Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju said the agency does not want to extend his custody and was seeking “judicial custody”.
Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju, while appearing for the Enforcement Directorate in the Kejriwal custody case, created a flutter when he made a disclosure with regard to one of the main accused, Vijay Nair, who was former communication incharge of the AAP.
