The BJP in Rajasthan is more keen than the Grand Old Party as far as ticket allotment to women candidates is concerned.
Even as the saffron party has kept on increasing its number of tickets to women since 2014, the Cong has reduced women representation.
The BJP in Rajasthan has fielded five women candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, which is the highest by the party in the state, while the Congress has fielded almost half of what the BJP has done. The Congress has given tickets to three women candidates which is the lowest since the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
In 2014, BJP gave tickets to only one woman candidate.
In 2019, the number increased to three and this time it is five.
On the other hand, Congress had fielded six women candidates in 2014, the number reduced to three in 2019 and it is the same this time too.
