Addressing his party office bearers at the Rangsharda auditorium on Wednesday, Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray referred to what Deshmukh had said about Fadnavis planning to put Aaditya behind bars. “Now, either you or I will remain in politics,” said Uddhav, alluding to Fadnavis.
Terming the BJP a ‘company of thieves’, Thackeray said, “We fought the Lok Sabha elections so that even Modi was left sweating. He must come to Maharashtra for the Vidhan Sabha polls.” The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won only 17 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, with the BJP’s tally dropping significantly, from 23 in 2019 to nine this year.
