BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday appeared before Telangana State Commission for Women and gave an explanation to his earlier remarks on the free bus facility for women, which led to the much criticism from various quarters.
During the proceedings, KTR expressed regret and formally apologised for the comments. He acknowledged that such statements were inappropriate and should not have been made by someone holding a leadership position of his stature.
The Women's Commission, while accepting his apology, issued clear instructions to KTR to refrain from making any such remarks in the future.
