He said it was the BRS government that revived the project. He recalled that the Sunkishala project was started for Hyderabad's water needs, but it was strongly opposed by the people of Nalgonda.
Speaking to media persons along with former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Mahmood Ali at Telangana Bhavan, he said though there was dead storage in Nagarjuna Sagar, the project had been taken up so that Hyderabad did not face any water crisis.
