Following the Ghatkopar hoarding tragedy that claimed 17 lives, the BMC is on toes to identify and remove such illegal billboards. To prevent the recurrence of the May 13 incident, the civic body has come up with a new draft policy, the details of which was reported by the Free Press Journal in the June 14 edition. The BMC will invite suggestions and objections to the proposed guidelines after July 5 and the policy is expected to be out in August.
