Maha tops budgetary spend for cash doles

Maharashtra is estimated to record a revenue deficit in 2024-25, but is set to allocate the highest amount for a cash transfer scheme for women among all states, according to a report by PRS Legislative Research.

The PRS Legislative published its annual report titled 'State of State Finances' that analyses the finances of all Indian states and Union Territories for the financial year 2024-25.
