He highlighted the comprehensive preparations, including the thorough cleaning and beautification of the twin cities, to ensure a memorable experience for the attendees.Majhi also emphasized the importance of hospitality, urging citizens to make the guests feel at home and assist them as needed. "Keeping our streets and public spaces clean is a shared responsibility. Let us come together to make this Pravasi Bharatiya Divas a grand success and offer our non-resident Indian guests an unforgettable experience," he stated, invoking the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.Observed annually on January 9 since 2003, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrates the contributions of the overseas Indian community to India's growth and development.Meanwhile, the city is in full swing with preparations. Walls and fences now display Odisha's signature art, and Janata Maidan, the event venue, has been transformed with a blend of traditional and modern aesthetics. Streets leading to the venue are adorned with colourful banners, flags, and vibrant lighting.
