REVANNA SEEKS PRE-ARREST BAIL, RETURNS FRIDAY
The Free Press Journal|May 30, 2024
Fearing his arrest, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, an accused in multiple rape and sexual assault cases, has moved court for anticipatory bail.

He is scheduled to return to India on May 31. The desperate plea for pre-arrest bail shows the last minute efforts to evade arrest by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

This, in turn, has put a question mark over whether he would really return to the country or not.

Prajwal's advocate G Arun moved the Special People's Representatives Court seeking anticipatory bail for the elusive lawmaker in three cases of rape and sexual assault. Judge Santhosh Gajanana Bhat refused to hear the case immediately and posted the matter for May 31.
