The company is accused of deceiving over 40,000 women in Korba by promising employment and economic empowerment, only to fail in delivering the promised benefits.Flora Max Business Company allegedly collected 30,000 from each woman under the pretext of offering regular income and business profits. However, the women claim the company embezzled their money through false assurances. The fraud came to light when the company failed to provide any meaningful returns or employment opportunities.Following the protests, the Korba administration has sealed the company's office and initiated an investigation into its financial transactions. Several arrests have been made, and more than half a dozen four-wheelers purchased by the company have been seized. Additional SP UVS Chauhan stated that it is still unclear how many women were affected, but further actions are underway.The women have demanded the immediate return of their money and strict legal action against Flora Max. Authorities are also being urged to implement stronger safeguards and awareness campaigns to prevent such fraudulent schemes in the future.
