A PLYMOUTH ballerina who is starring in Sir Matthew Bourne’s adaptation of Edward Scissorhands, which comes to Theatre Royal Plymouth next month, has said she feels like it is a ‘dream role’ for her.
Katrina Lyndon is a former Montpelier and Coombe Dean pupil, while her mother ran the Classique Academy dance school in Devonport.
As part of Bourne’s New Adventures dance company, Katrina has featured in sell-out musicals including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Red Shoes.
Now she says playing the role of Kim – who was played by Winona Ryder in the adaptation for the Tim Burton movie – is a dream come true.
“It’s my dream role to be honest,” she told The Herald. “I’ve always loved the movie. Growing up. I was already really familiar with the film before I had seen the Matt Bourne version, so I was already completely in love with the idea of it.
