A PLYMOUTH family are set to move for the 22nd time in 20 years, after being handed a Section 21 notice by their landlord.
Jessica Whittam and her four children have experienced housing issues for many years, but now face homelessness due to no fault of their own, she claims.
The 42-year-old had lived with her children, 22, 19, 13 and 11 at a property in Stoke for three years. They were first given a Section 21 notice – which allows landlords to evict a tenant without having to give any reason for doing so – last year, but it was not followed through
A second Section 21 Notice, also known as a no-fault eviction, was given in January this year to Jess and her family, with instructions to leave in April. She said: “I’ve never been in this exact situation, but I’ve had housing issues in the past. This next move will be our 22nd in 20 years!
