PLYMOUTH has a brand new solar carport thanks to world leader in marine research, Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML).
PML has unveiled its latest solar PV installation, an impressive 315 panel carport canopy system estimated to save 65 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.
The solar carport was designed and installed by solar energy experts SunGift Solar, who have previously completed similar pioneering carport projects for Exeter and Dundee city councils as well as the University of Exeter.
The project, funded via the Natural Environment Research Council greening initiatives, is PML's third site of solar generation, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability and reaching Net Zero by 2040.
