PLYMOUTH is backing a national consultation on the merging of coroner offices in Devon.
At present, Plymouth, Torbay and South Devon, and Exeter and Greater Devon each have a Senior Coroner position and associated admin functions.
The Plymouth, Torbay and South Devon position is currently being filled by an interim coroner after the retirement of Ian Arrow, who had been in the role since 2016.
