LEFT-SIDED defender Saxon Earley is on course to be fit and ready for the start of Plymouth Argyle's 2024/25 Championship campaign next month.
The 21-year-old had a very difficult time as he missed virtually all of last term due to two separate but similar ankle ligament injuries. Earley did join Wycombe Wanderers on loan at the end of the winter transfer window when it appeared he was close to a return to playing but was soon back at Home Park without being able to play for the League One club.
However, when the Argyle squad began pre-season training under new head coach Wayne Rooney last week, Earley was among the players who took part.
Director of football Neil Dewsnip told Herald Sport: "He will be ready at the end of pre-season. We are really excited about having him back.
