Futuristic ship is welcomed to Plymouth

A MASSIVE ship has docked at Plymouth’s Victoria Wharf – but just for two days and a night.

The futuristic-looking ship has been turning heads with its bright design and prominent presence, but was due to sail away again yesterday.

Edda Wind’s new build, the Sudri Enabler, sailed into Plymouth Sound for its first port visit en route from a Spanish shipyard to Norway. The new-build vessel has been designed with unparalleled flexibility and operability for operations anywhere in the world.

At almost 90 metres long, it is a hybrid CSOV (Commissioning Service Operation Vessel), prepared for emission-free operations with a hydrogen-based propulsion system. It can accommodate up to 120 crew.
