THE chance to go out and play regular football was too good to turn down for new Plymouth Argyle loan signing Kaine Kesler-Hayden.
The 20-year-old wing-back was announced as the Pilgrims’ second summer signing on Thursday evening after joining from premier League side Aston Villa.
He has made just one appearance at Villa Park – when a very youthful and inexperienced Villans team faced Liverpool in an FA Cup clash – but he has plenty of EFL experience after spells with Swindon Town, Milton Keynes and Huddersfield Town.
Kesler-Hayden made 21 appearances during his time with Swindon during a five-month loan spell at the start of the 2021/22 season, where he was named the club’s young player of the season, despite his brief stay. He then spent the second half of the campaign with MK, where he made a further 17 appearances.
