John is the main Mann as Fawn B chase title

THE immovable object that is John Mann continued to lead Fawn B's title charge in the Steve Chapman 501 League during their 11-0 away win at Beacon Park.

Mann heard 'game shot' called after throwing 18 and 15 darts in two legs of a 3-0 individual win and ended the night with 15 scores of a ton or more.

Mann's tally was topped up by a 116 checkout that was the best of the match, whilst Simon Washington was also in good nick for the rampant visitors.

Washington added 12 scores of a ton that included a maximum and a 100 combination out shot; the aforementioned total completed in a stellar singles matchup.

Washington's 3-0 win saw legs put away in 16 and 17 darts with Lee Agar the third player for the reigning champions to reach double figures in tons.

Agar's maximum was one of 11 tons added, whilst the only moment of magic from the defeated side came from the arm of Beau Carter who added his team's only 180.

Tex Pearce was far and away the best scoring player on display with 15 ton plusses in St Levans' 8-3 loss to title chasers Cherry Tree B.

Neil White was also impressive in the defeat with a 12 ton personal tally that included one of the nine maximums plundered between the two teams.

A quartet of 180s from the visitors was rounded off by Harry MacGregor's solitary effort and two three treble visits by Matt Pearce.

For the victors, Scott Wapshott and Paul Gavican heard '180' called after throwing twice each whilst Mark Shears added a maximum to his 113 checkout.

The man for the home side that padded out the scoring phase the most was Phil Hoyle who threw scores of one hundred or more ten times to lead his team to victory.

At the business end of leg, a 14 darter by Tex Pearce in his 3-2 defeat was the only leg that bettered an 18 darter by Neil White during his 3-11 success.

Andrew Cook plundered 13 scores.
